The ‘Divaina’ says that a member of the International Independent Group of Eminent Persons (IIGEP) has held secret discussions with the LTTE.
In today’s (May 03rd) publication, Keerthi Warnakulasooriya’s news report titled as ‘IIGEP member holds discussions with LTTE’, is as follows:
The government has received information that the IIGEP member, David Savage has held a secret discussion with LTTE representative from France and an ex-priest Emanuel in a restaurant in Geneva.
Chairman of the Sinhalse Organization in London, Douglas Wickremeratne, who witnessed the event, has informed of this to President Mahinda Rajapaksa.
On confronting Mr. Savage on the matter, he had warned Mr. Wickremeratne not to interfere and that said he was a police officer from Australia.
Emanuel is also revealed to be the leader of the LTTE media unit in Germany.
